Amy Henderson

On Sept 4th, I was an extra for the first time on an episode of Law and Order here in NYC. It was pretty much exactly like the TV show Extras. Except I didn’t get to snog Orlando Bloom. Oh, and Ricky Gervais wasn’t there either.

Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Amy Henderson and I am an actress living in New York City. I moved here seven years ago from my hometown of Lexington, Kentucky – a town famous for its annual live recreation of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video.

I studied and graduated from AMDA, the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, in their two year acting program then finished up my B.F.A. at New School University.

To keep myself warm and fed here in the Big Apple, I have worked many jobs from admin work to waiting tables. I completed the 260 hour course at the American Academy of Personal Training at the end of 2007 and am now working as a personal trainer in Brooklyn while still pursuing acting. I really enjoy it and love working with people on their wellness and fitness goals!

I have studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade (I finished up Level 2 in 2007) and am looking to do more comedy, improv, theatre, TV/film, and commercials. I am looking for representation and am non-union.

As for other interesting information about me… let’s see. I am terribly clumsy, I hate camping, and I always sleep in socks.
